3 months of freelancing
As of yesterday, I have officially been freelancing for three months. Happy freelance anniversary to me! Three months may seem like a short amount of time, but I've worked on so many different projects, and learned so many new things, I feel it is worth celebrating. I've had a varied few months working on a range of projects, including digital design for a ticketing agency, UI for an educational website and POS ads for luxury cosmetics. Here's a little look at what I've been up to. Things I've learned to do: Talk about myself and my work with confidence (and not underselling my skills) Be open and honest about what I want from my career Talk to new people and get to know how they work (quickly) Get stuck in from the moment I arrive at an agency How to juggle workload Manage finances How to deal with rejection (not a fun skill, but definitely essential) How a ticketing website works - inside and out (thanks Eventim UK) Code a webpage f
